Aerogen, the world leader in acute care aerosol drug delivery continues to expand with the opening of new Engineering Labs in Galway and the announcement of 80+ jobs for 2020.

Aerogen, the world leader in acute care aerosol drug delivery continues to expand with the opening of new Engineering Labs in Galway and the announcement of 80+ jobs for 2020.

The announcement was made on behalf of the company by the Minister of State for Trade, Employment, Business, EU Digital Single Market and Data Protection, Pat Breen TD and in the presence of the Chief Executive of Enterprise Ireland, Julie Sinnamon.

The 27,000 square-foot building constructed by S.Gilligan & Associates which is situated in the IDA Business Park, Dangan includes offices as well as process and development lab space, along with staff parking.

Speaking at the opening this afternoon, Minister Pat Breen TD said, “This is a good news day for Galway and the entire Region. I am delighted to be here at the opening of this 2nd building and to announce that Aerogen will be recruiting over 80 staff in 2020. Aerogen is an innovative Irish company that continues to go from strength to strength and has already contributed significantly to the local economy, providing professional highly skilled jobs.

“The Government’s Future Jobs Ireland strategy recognises the critical role that innovation plays in driving a sustainable economy and supporting the jobs of the future. Aerogen continues to feed into this Strategy, by ensuring it holds a competitive advantage.

“Ireland is recognised globally as a Med Tech hub and Aerogen plays a very important role in this regard. The development of Ireland’s Regions, by empowering businesses and communities, is a priority for Government and sustainable job creation is at the heart of what we do. Aerogen’s job announcement today is very welcome.

“I wish to congratulate all of the team in Aerogen on their success to date and I look forward to seeing this company grow even further.”

Founder and CEO of Aerogen, John Power added, “Aerogen’s business continues to grow as we are opening up new markets and generating increased demand in existing hospitals thus creating ever increasing demand for the Solo product. Servicing this growth has required significant increases in capacity and the hiring of talented professionals to achieve the required product outputs.
